We sat in our workshop, zesting the lemons. Making sure to note that we probably need a lemon zester. Our hands smell so refreshing and clean afterwards. This has turned out to be one of our favorite recipes, and also one of your favorite soaps. Our workshop is like an oasis to us. An escape from reality, and time to share with each other. We talk, we brainstorm, we make products, and we laugh. The world was turning sour, so we make Lemon Zest Soap.
We talked about plans for the summer, and hopes for selling at markets. Last summer, we sold at Maker Days At Linden Hills Farmers Market with Handmade By Lemonade. We were reminded how quickly the Lemon Zest Soap sold. The smell of fresh lemons would travel far and wide across booths. People would stop by asking what the marvelous smell was. All of it was gone before we packed up our booth that afternoon.
We hope to be at a market this summer, if the world lets us. If not, maybe there is such thing as a social distance farmers market? Until then, stock up on your Lemon Zest soap. We have a fresh batch waiting to be delivered at your door. Lemon has the benefit of eliminating odor so wash your hands with it after cooking fish or onions. Leave it around your house for a bit, let the scent refresh your home, then moisturize, brighten and rejuvenate your skin with it. Buy two bars, one for your shower, and one to wash your hands with. It will make you feel refreshed and energized.
