It’s May and at last we are seeing signs of spring in the north woods. There are tiny, pale green leaves on the trees. The spring peepers are singing their froggy chorus. The groundhog appears each morning at 7 a.m. for his breakfast.
It is still too early to plant lavender and soapwort around the labyrinth, but soon, we hope. We want to try using soapwort in our soap making, as people have done for centuries. Sometimes it seems like time traveling, making soap as it was done in the past and then blogging about it on the computer, but our goal is to make products that feel good and are good for you, and that is timeless.
May is a busy month. It always makes me think of babies – Happy Birthday to my May babies, Liz & Michael! May is also about Mother’s Day and bridal showers and Fishing Opener (don’t forget your coffee soap – gets rid of the fish smell.) Also, May 9 is National Teacher Appreciation Day. We honor and appreciate all the teachers in our lives, so watch for a special discount offer, coming soon.
Right now we are preparing for our appearance at the Hopkins Main Street Day Arts and Craft Fair, on Saturday, May 20, 9am – 4 pm. It will be on Main Street, between 6th and 11th avenues. It is open to the public and that there will be food and lots of family activities. We hope you stop by and see us.
Happy Spring!
