April Showers Bring May…Showers?

It was drizzling at 7:30 am, as we set up our tent at the Hopkins Main Street Days. We were a little apprehensive about the rain, but still stubbornly optimistic. So we were startled when the wind gusted down the street and our tent was airborne. We each grabbed a pole and hung on for dear life. It’s a good thing I was there to weigh it down or Liz would have drifted down Main Street like Mary Poppins.

I would like to tell you that after that the sun came out and the day was beautiful, but no…

The temperature hovered sullenly in the low 40s, sheets of rain and high winds left us drenched and that’s just the way the day went.

We would, however, like to thank Mike who did everything for us, from loading and unloading, to finding bricks to hold down the tent, to bringing us life-saving coffee. We would also like to thank the event coordinators, who were cheerful through it all. Most of all, thank you to those brave souls who stopped at our tent and even bought soap in the pouring rain!

And finally we would like to thank Nacho the bull, who sweetly posed with us.

We loved Hopkins Main Street Days, and will be back next year. Meanwhile, we are looking for a market venue for the fall and are continuing to sell at the Maple Grove Arts Center and online.

Watch our website for upcoming sales and have a wonderful June!
